This is my very first post here on WordPress and I have to admit that it was pretty intimidating switching from Blogger and Tumblr. It’s so different over here but I’ve grown to really, really, really like it! I feel way more comfortable sharing my life on this platform than I have on any other and it’s a nice feeling. I sense a ton of over sharing regarding my wedding planning and photo overload of my kid. I’m a fairly simple girl, in love, and ready to move on to the next chapter; maybe someday in the near future add to my tiny family. Who knows what life has in store for me.
Now that I’ve spilled those beans I guess I could introduce myself, and the other two and a half extensions of myself. I’m Heather, you can leave off the -er and call me Heath (not like Heath Ledger or the candy bar but like Heath if the a was silent) if you’d like, I much prefer it. I am 23 years old and I am a full time mother and photographer, though I don’t put myself out there nearly as much as I would like to; hopefully that is changing. My passion is my art as well as graphic design. I love creating things and putting my artistic side to use.
Nalley is my two and a half year old progeny. I grew her in my womb and pushed her out of it as quickly as it started on January 28, 2011 at 2:59 in the morning. I always joke that she’s always going to have good luck since she made her way into this world on her due date. She’s the most well behaved toddler I have ever met, and the smartest kid. Some of the things that come out of her mouth leaves me speechless, because how in the world could something so tiny know this much stuff? She’s funny and sweet and everything good all rolled into one amazing tortilla and I am so lucky to call her mine. She is obsessed with Mike and Sulley (Monsters Inc & Monsters University) and the minions from Despicable Me. She’s so amazed by everything and I am triple amazed at everything she does.
Brandon is my boyfriend, sort of fiance, almost husband. He’s everything to me. We may butt heads a lot of the time, but we love each other whole-heartedly. When you know, you know. You know? I knew he was the one when I was still able to love him when I absolutely hated his guts. We can fight and then fix things all within ten minutes and for that I am so grateful because sometimes when I think we have it rough, I realize that we have it better than most couples because we know when to stop and fix things. We don’t let it get so out of control that we are beyond repair and I am lucky. He’s amazing and I don’t tell him that nearly enough. We’re soulmates despite everything, and through it all.
And last but not least, our furry companion, Yoda. We welcomed her into our home in April of this year and she has been so wonderful. She came from an abused home and she’s still skittish at times, but she’s the best girl. She’s definitely warmed our hearts quite a bit.
